World Vape Show 2025 Launches Recycling Initiative at Dubai Show: A Groundbreaking Step Towards Sustainability
As part of its long-standing approach to responsible innovation, World Vape Show Dubai 2025 continued to prioritise environmental responsibility with the introduction of its Recycling Initiative, launched in collaboration with Smucci Recycling; a green solution for e-cigarette disposal. The initiative, designed to tackle the growing concern of vape waste, empowered attendees to responsibly dispose of their used devices throughout the three-day event, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from 18th to 20th June.
The initiative featured prominently placed Smucci Recycle Stations on the show floor, encouraging visitors and exhibitors alike to recycle their vapes with ease. This user-friendly system ensured maximum participation while reducing the environmental footprint of the show.
Environmental Impact: A Measurable Success
According to the official Environmental Impact Assessment of the World Vape Show 2025 initiative, 1,721 disposable vapes were collected and recycled across the three days. The recovery and responsible processing of these devices generated a measurable reduction in environmental pollutants and resource usage:
- 0.65 tonnes of CO₂-equivalent emissions avoided through material recovery
- 0.38 kg of sulfur dioxide (SO₂) emissions prevented by avoiding smelting and incineration
- 0.82 kg of ground-level ozone formation potential mitigated by preventing VOC release
- 1,698 MJ of energy saved – equivalent to 472 kWh, or 16 days of electricity for the average UAE household
